This year, once again by popular demand, we are returning to the pearl of the Mediterranean, Majorca. More specifically Palma De Majorca for our Jolly Parrot New Year Sailing Event.
Our exciting 5 day adventure will see the Jolly Parrot fleet exploring the marinas and coves around the bay of Palma and the south west coast of the island including ports such as Puerto De Andraitx and Palma Nova. While this is not specifically a training course there are ample opportunities to brush up on your skippering and general sailing and navigating skills while we hop from port to port. Alternatively you can sit back, relax and just check out the picturesque scenery and marvel at some of the biggest and most expensive yachts in the world! Each evening we will be in a marina where we can avail ourselves of shoreside facilities and restaurants. We will be using 50ft yachts for this event so it's a great opportunity to experience bigger boat sailing!
All marinas have easy access to the city via the public transport system, so if we have a day of bad weather or simply fancy a day ashore, the shorebased attractions, of which there are many, are within easy reach! New Year's eve we will be in a marina close to the old town of Palma where we can explore local bars and restaurants and partake in the local festivities.
Palma airport is a 15 minute taxi ride, or an easy 30 minute bus ride from the marina that we will be based in for the start and finish of our event. With flights from many UK and European airports at very reasonable prices this is a great and different getaway over the New Year period.
This is a fun packed sailing trip and no prior experience is necessary, just a sense of adventure and of course a sense of humour. In true 'Jolly Parrot ' style this is sure to be a popular event as are all of our new year adventures and spaces are limited so don't delay. Book today!

All the marinas are within easy reach of Palma Airport which makes it nice and easy. You can be certain you'll have a funtastic New Year on this Jolly Parrot event!

Absolutely incredible! Recently, I completed Jolly Parrot’s ‘Novice to Day Skipper’ course, and it was one of the best experiences of my life! Not only did I learn to sail, but the course also improved my confidence massively. The instructors were all so lovely and incredibly knowledgeable. Greg was my instructor for the Day Skipper portion and I couldn’t imagine anyone better suited for the job - An excellent instructor with impeccable humour. We spent a wonderful 11 days in November 2021 with Jolly Parrot. I completed the Coastal Skipper Combined course and my wife the Comp Crew. Instructors Flipper, IanG, Hailey, and Tom were all exceptional in their own unique way and we came away with more rounded skills and knowledge as a result of their patient teaching methods. Clive and Rachel did a fabulous job of shuffling schedules and boats to accommodate our different experience levels. Expect to be challenged on the Coastal Skipper course! We made some abiding memories, some long-term connections and friends, and hope to return soon for the next challenge maybe a mile-builder.
