How to Book
To ensure availability of the desired course/event for the dates you require, please check availability using our live online booking system. You can then book securely and make a deposit payment of 25% of the course/event fee. The final balance should be paid at least 30 days before the course/event start date using our online booking portal, bank transfer, PayPal or credit/debit card. If you fail to pay the final payment on time Jolly Parrot reserves the right to cancel your course/event, with no refund of deposit. Should you book less than 30 days before your course/event, then you must pay the full amount at the time of booking.

1. Your Contract
The following terms and conditions will be incorporated into every contract between you and Jolly Parrot Sailing. By making a deposit payment (by using our online booking portal, bank transfer, PayPal or credit/debit card) you will be accepting the terms and conditions for all members of your party, and you are therefore advised to read them carefully. This contract will be construed in accordance with English Law and it is agreed by us that each will submit to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.

2. Cancellation
Jolly Parrot reserves the right to cancel the booking at any time and the refund will be limited to monies already paid. If you wish to cancel your course/event, this must be done in writing via email and will be effective from the date that it is received by Jolly Parrot. If you cancel at least 30 days prior to your course/event start date you will lose only your deposit. If less than 30 days notice of cancellation is given, after the balance has been paid, the full course/event fee will be forfeited.

3. Amendment
Should you wish to reschedule your course/event with more than 30 days notice we will offer you alternative dates, subject to availability. A £50 administration fee will apply. Should you wish to reschedule your course/event less than 30 days prior to your course/event start date we will do our best to sell your place. If your place is filled, you will be able to rebook the course/event for a £50 administration fee. If, however we are not able to re-sell your place and you do not attend the course/event booked originally, we will consider it to be a cancellation. Courses or events booked in conjunction with one of our offers are non-transferable and cannot be rescheduled.

4. Gift Vouchers
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and are not transferable.

5. Insurance
Jolly Parrot will insure the vessel used against all usual marine risks. This insurance policy does NOT cover; injury, loss of life, damage to or loss of property of any person on board against which you should insure yourself prior to the course commencement.  We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover yourself against personal financial loss as a result of flight cancellation or travel delays. 

6. Smoking Policy
Jolly Parrot operates a strict no smoking and no vaping policy on all of our yachts, offices and classrooms.

7. Course Termination
You must accept responsibility for the proper conduct of yourself and any members of your party. We reserve the right at our absolute discretion, to terminate without further notice, the course /event of any client who refuses to comply with the instructions or orders of the skipper or authorised Jolly Parrot staff member. Any behaviour by an individual in our opinion, likely to cause distress, danger or annoyance to fellow crew, other customers, staff or any third party or property will be required to leave the course/event.

8. Intoxication
Clients will not be allowed to partake while considered to be intoxicated in any way and their course/event will be terminated immediately.  Upon such termination our responsibility for your course ceases, and Jolly Parrot shall not be liable for any extra costs incurred by you.

9. Yacht Specification
Jolly Parrot may alter the specification of the yacht if it is deemed necessary to either ensure that you gain the maximum benefit from your course, or to ensure the safety of yourself and the other water users.

10. Photography
Frequently Jolly Parrot staff photograph our sailing activities, for use in Jolly Parrot's publicity material only. This includes social media. Should you object to photography taking place whilst you are onboard please let us know in advance.

11. Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable if prevented from fulfilling any of its obligations by an incident of force majeure including weather conditions, an act of god, strikes, lock out, act of government or any other occurrence beyond their control.

12. Personal Ability
All qualifications are gained subject to personal ability and successful completion of the course. If there is any doubt pertaining to sufficient pre-requisite experience, then please contact us prior to booking.

13. Physical Ability
Sailing can be physically demanding at times. Please ensure you have an appropriate level of physical fitness prior to booking a course. If you have any questions then please get in touch.

14. Age Restriction
Any persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

15. Complaints procedure
Jolly Parrot has an established complaints procedure that is to be used should the need arise. Contact us for more details.

16. Data Protection
Personal details will be required to be passed to the RYA for registration of certain RYA certificates.
